This is a separated type photo sensor that employs a high-sensitivity phototransistor on the light-receiving side.
The separated type photo sensor, completely dustproof model KB3820-12/22, features an infrared emitting diode on the emitting side and a high-sensitivity phototransistor on the receiving side. It can also be used as standalone units for the emitting and receiving sides. The gap between the emitting and receiving sides can be set arbitrarily (1 to 100 mm).
