Shot blast

Various types and multi-purpose processing that meets your needs! We also accommodate requests such as "I want a pear skin finish."

"Shot blasting" refers to a process where particles called media are projected and collide with the workpiece to polish its surface. It is used for various applications such as removing mill scale from steel, oxide film removal, surface preparation for painting and plating, deburring, matte finishing, removing fine scratches, and rust removal, resulting in a non-glossy, matte surface. We can also accommodate needs such as "wanting to reduce gloss" or "wanting to roughen the surface." It is possible to perform various surface treatments in combination, so please feel free to consult with us. 【Features】 ■ Capable of processing large quantities at once with two automatic shot blasting machines ■ Provides uniform treatment with minimal variation ■ Allows for fine adjustments ■ Ideal for final finishing of paint and jig removal ■ Enables consistent in-house processing *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Shot blast service

In any case, we provide thorough support for low prices! Leave "shot blasting" to us.

Our company performs "shot blasting," which uses the rotation of a motor to rapidly spin a blade-like plate called a blade, projecting media (balls) onto the workpiece to achieve the desired processing (such as matte finish, deburring, shot peening, etc.). Unlike sandblasting (air blasting), it can project a large amount of media in a short time, resulting in high work efficiency and a clean finish with minimal unevenness, all at a relatively low cost. 【Features】 ■ Capable of projecting a large amount of media in a short time ■ High work efficiency ■ Clean finish with minimal unevenness ■ Relatively low cost *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Shot Blast "L Type"

Ideal for processing large items! By using a wide-angle projection device, it can be utilized more effectively.

We would like to introduce our shot blast "L type." The table blaster is designed to place items on a table and rotate them while projecting abrasive materials, making it suitable for processing large items. By using a wide-angle projection device (WR type), uneven grinding can be eliminated, allowing for more effective use. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Shot Blast "Type B"

The processed product is rolled, and the grinding material is projected by the rotor to perform grinding! Complete discharge of the processed product is carried out.

We would like to introduce our shot blast model 'B'. This device rolls the workpieces inside a polygonal barrel and projects abrasive material using a rotor for grinding. After completion, the barrel is inverted to fully discharge the workpieces. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Primer required, prevents peeling.

If you apply topcoat paint without a primer, it will peel off. Compared to products that have both a primer and a topcoat, those without a primer have weaker adhesion to the substrate, making the paint film more prone to peeling.

When comparing products that only have a topcoat without a primer to standard painting products that include a primer, it was found that the products without a primer easily had their paint film peel off. Primer paint has the dual effect of preventing rust and strongly adhering to the substrate and underlayer, making it indispensable. Although the primer is not visible, it plays an important role in maintaining corrosion resistance. Additionally, if the primer is not applied properly, the topcoat may be unevenly applied or have inconsistencies, resulting in an unattractive finish. Furthermore, the primer enhances the permeability of the paint, allowing the topcoat to adhere better, which can improve the durability and anti-corrosive properties of the paint film. In other words, the primer is a crucial step that significantly affects not only the appearance but also the performance and lifespan of the paint. Therefore, skipping the primer can lead to a higher likelihood of peeling paint and rust-prone products, making it essential to always apply the appropriate primer.

The relationship between blasting and painting.

In painting, proper surface preparation (substrate treatment) is essential to achieve a good finish. The most effective method of surface preparation is blast treatment.

"Surface preparation" refers to the process of preparing the underlying material or substrate. Metals are melted, cooled, and solidified during the manufacturing process, but when exposed to high temperatures, they combine with oxygen in the atmosphere to form a film known as an oxide layer. If painting is done without removing this oxide layer and impurities, contaminants can mix between the paint and the substrate, leading to poor adhesion. Additionally, the functionality of the paint may not be realized due to the influence of impurities, preventing it from exhibiting its intended performance. However, by using blasting to prepare the substrate, the surface oxide layer, rust, and other contaminants can be completely removed. Furthermore, using angular abrasives creates countless fine irregularities on the substrate, increasing the surface area for paint adhesion and preventing peeling. By cleaning and preparing the substrate with blasting before painting, the lifespan of the paint film can be extended two to three times, providing long-term economic benefits.

What is blast construction? Let me introduce you to blasting!

Blasting is a type of surface treatment that creates various sizes of unevenness on the surface of the material being targeted.

Blasting is a type of surface treatment that creates various sizes of unevenness on the surface of the target material. It suppresses gloss and results in a matte finish, so it is surprisingly applied to products that are quite familiar to us. For more details, please refer to the PDF download below. Leave the blasting work in Hiroshima to Harada Iron Works!

Please feel free to consult us about sandblasting and grit blasting.

If you have any requests for sandblasting or grit blasting in Hiroshima, please feel free to consult us. Blasting is a type of surface treatment process that involves colliding various particles with a material to remove surface layers and create texture. Its effects are as follows: Surface cleaning: It removes oxide films, rust, and dirt, achieving a clean surface. Improved adhesion: The increase in surface area due to the formation of texture creates an "anchor effect," enhancing adhesion with the paint. The durability of the paint is influenced by various factors such as the number of coats and the type of paint, but the impact of the grade of surface treatment can be as much as 50%. Surface preparation is the most important factor in painting. Harada Iron Works is a company with an 80-year history in Hiroshima and possesses one of the largest blasting facilities in the Chugoku region. Please feel free to consult us about painting after blasting. We are here to help. Harada Iron Works Hiroshima Official Link
