[Case Study Presentation] Diagnosis work time for distribution boards reduced to 1/6! What is the secret?
An infrared thermal imaging camera that allows for safe and quick inspection of the distribution board.
This is a case study on the introduction of the infrared thermal imaging camera 'FLIR i7' at a maintenance company that handles the reception and transformation of electrical power and equipment inspections. Before the introduction, distant objects were inspected using a heat spy (infrared thermometer), while nearby objects were checked with contact-type thermometers. Inspectors had to track objects as "points," which placed a significant burden on workers in terms of efficiency and labor hours. The larger the object, the more time-consuming the inspection process became. We successfully achieved a significant improvement in the efficiency of inspection work for distribution boards, enhancing worker safety, improving work efficiency, and simplifying report preparation. [Before Introduction] - There was a significant burden on workers in terms of efficiency and labor hours, and the larger the object, the more time-consuming the inspection work became. - There was anxiety about the need to approach high-voltage electrical equipment while wearing thermal labels and rubber gloves. *The 'FLIR i7' is a discontinued product. Please contact us for details about its successor. *For more information, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
