We would like to introduce a case study involving a major automotive manufacturer located in an automotive city in China, which was engaged in the construction of a digital management model factory. The user focused on smart manufacturing and envisioned creating a proof-of-concept factory that is digitally smart and sophisticated. Our company collaborated with the user to transform and improve the factory logistics through workshops, achieving flexible production management that includes accurate insertion of various steel pallets, coordination aligned with the production line, integration with inbound and outbound management, and efficient and precise material handling. VisionNav Robotics' RCS works in conjunction with the user's WMS, which manages location and batch control. Following the production plan, the WMS sends tasks to the RCS, dispatching unmanned forklifts to pick up materials and enabling unmanned transportation between the semi-finished product area, spot welding area, and finished goods storage area. As a result, we reduced waiting times at workstations and achieved efficient transportation. Here are some examples of scenarios for storage operations in high-rise racks. In the case of a global food manufacturer, the high-rise racks on-site are over 6000mm, with an aisle width of 3200mm, and the actual pallet load weight is approximately 1200KG. Not only does an unmanned forklift safely and efficiently store cargo in high beam racks, but it also ensures a cargo clearance of 100mm within the racks. In the case of a major automotive parts manufacturing company, the actual pallet weight is about 350KG, the rack height exceeds 10m, and the highest beam is approximately 8055mm from the ground. The unmanned forklift lifts over 8m to achieve the storage operation into the racks.
