The Linisort S-C is a tilt tray sorting system characterized by its ability to be installed in limited spaces. By dividing the sorting openings into two levels, it accommodates a large number of sorting destinations while saving space. **Case Study** The JIT Group, which contributes to society through its recycling business, ceremonial services, welfare for the disabled, food business, and nursery services. At its core is JIT Corporation, which manufactures and sells "JIT Recycled Ink" by collecting and reusing used ink cartridges. Based on the concept of "Just in Time," which is the origin of the company name, improvements have been made in production processes, material procurement, and personnel management. However, improvements in the logistics department, the final process, were delayed. As a result, during busy periods, shipping operations often extended into the late night, leading to frequent shipping errors. To eliminate mistakes, the introduction of a sorter was considered, but challenges related to space led to rejections from other companies. This issue was resolved by diversifying the sorting openings, resulting in an increase in processing volume of up to approximately twice compared to before the introduction.

The Tsubaki rust prevention oil-free dehumidifying cabinet prevents rust on workpieces at humidity levels below 37%, making it possible to eliminate the need for rust prevention oil application and cleaning processes.

We are responsible for rapid sorting to maintain the freshness of vegetables. The shape of the sorting chute has been refined through repeated experiments to ensure gentle handling of the products. It can also be used in a chilled environment, and the Linisort S-C is our most compact sorting machine (piece sorter). Yokohama Market Center Co., Ltd. has adopted it as a replacement for digital picking, significantly contributing to their sorting operations.

Hamakyo Rex Co., Ltd., headquartered in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, operates the Fukui Center as a base in the Hokuriku region. The company handles clothing mail order and has dramatically improved sorting capacity per batch by combining the Linisort S-E and the Shutter Assort System. Before the implementation, operations were conducted using the island picking method, where picking and shipping were done in units of 12 people (12 orders). However, there were limitations in picking in units of 12 and waiting times during transitions. After the implementation, it became possible to pick orders for 240 people as a single unit, which is 20 times more than before. The abolition of the island picking method reduced waiting times, and the number of shipping transitions was also significantly decreased.

This is a case study video introducing the Pack-U-Beya Multi, a horizontal rotating shelf where each section rotates independently. It boasts high inbound and outbound capacity due to the lack of waiting time for shelf calls, achieved through automatic left-right selection and rotation. Due to the increase in shipment numbers and customer numbers, the existing system (DAS system) could no longer handle the demand, leading to the introduction of the first unit in June 2014. Subsequently, to accommodate the increase in shipment volume, the number of stores, and category-specific shipments, an expansion project with 59 shoots was carried out in August 2018. Additionally, since the center can only stop sorting on weekends outside of peak periods, modifications were implemented solely on weekends.

This is a case study video of the low-temperature automated storage system "Labstokka" delivered to the University of Tokyo Institute of Medical Science. It allows for the safe storage of specimen tubes using liquid nitrogen for cooling. Picking of the tubes is also conducted in an ultra-low temperature environment of -150°C to prevent exposure and protect the quality of the samples. JA Zen-Noh's A-Coop has adopted the Linisort system as a result of considering automation due to the aging of the DPS (Digital Picking System) that had been used for sorting tasks. They appreciated the feature of Linisort that allows for the sorting of delicate products such as tofu, eggs, and pudding, which are difficult to sort mechanically.

This is an example of a system that automatically generates plates from frozen samples through the linkage of a low-temperature automatic warehouse for specimen storage, the Lab Stock Mini, and an automatic dispensing system. It enables the creation of dispensing plates during nighttime operations, addressing labor shortages and preventing human errors. The tube picking process is conducted in a low-temperature environment of minus 20°C to maintain the quality of the stored samples.
