In general, 5-axis controlled machining centers are used for machining 3D curved surfaces, but our company has established processing technology using 4-axis controlled machining centers, considering the rigidity of the machines. By equipping primarily with 4-axis controlled machines, we eliminate various disadvantages that arise from the decrease in machine rigidity as the number of axes increases. Dramatic cost reductions are also possible.
