It is a rubber gate used for water storage in rivers. In places where gradual water level adjustment is not required, low-cost and low-failure rubber gates are adopted. Air is pumped into the rubber bag body to form a dam. When the air is released, it becomes a flat collapsed shape. By cutting the tip at an angle, it allows for smoother water flow, preventing damage from debris such as gravel and boulders, and reducing vibrations caused by turbulence.

Free membership registrationThis is a low-cost and rational gate used for water storage in rivers. It remains upright to maintain a constant water level and automatically collapses during floods. Depending on the installation location, various types of lifting devices are available, including hydraulic braking systems and manual wire systems for small weirs.

Free membership registrationTo prevent backflow from rivers into drainage ditches during water discharge, various gates are installed at the drainage outlets. Among these, it is common for small drainage outlets to have flap gates that open and close automatically based on the difference in water levels inside and outside. In this case, although the gate itself is quite small, the construction involves significant ancillary work, such as pouring the necessary concrete for installation, and sometimes temporary closures or the use of drainage pumps. Our company has focused on this issue and developed this anchor-type hume flap as an automatic drainage device that can be installed at existing drainage outlets without the need for civil engineering work.

In this case, although the gate itself is quite small, the construction involves significant additional work, such as pouring the necessary concrete for installation, sometimes creating temporary closures, and using drainage pumps. Our company has focused on this aspect and developed the Daiwa-style automatic drainage device, known as the Hume Wrap, which can be installed simply by fitting it onto the end of a Hume pipe and tightening bolts, significantly reducing construction costs and achieving thorough rationalization.
