Importers of electrical products from overseas are required by the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law (hereinafter referred to as "PSE") to ensure that their products comply with PSE technical standards. Therefore, products without the PSE mark cannot be imported or sold. The diamond-shaped PSE mark required for AC adapters (DC power supplies) and power cables (AC cords) is displayed on products classified as specific electrical appliances (116 designated items). To obtain the diamond-shaped PSE mark for specific electrical appliances, it is necessary to receive certification from a national registered inspection organization and to meet strict examination standards.
