A "town" where innovation is born.
Established in 1989 as Japan's first privately operated science park, it brings together 500 organizations and 6,400 people, including industrial support agencies from Kyoto Prefecture and Kyoto City. In addition to office and lab rentals and conference room rentals, it conducts various activities that lead to the creation of new businesses and new industries, such as entrepreneur development, open innovation support, and hosting seminars and networking events. With the brand slogan "Here, Emergence. ~Paving for New Tomorrow~," it aims to provide an attractive platform and business environment for people from around the world who seek to drive innovation, contributing to the emergence of new businesses that will change the world.
Business Activities
Kyoto Research Park is a major business hub consisting of 18 buildings. It serves as a place for challenges aimed at innovation in new businesses and research and development, gathering as many as 500 companies and organizations, along with 6,400 players. We are building a robust infrastructure that includes offices, labs, conference rooms, and data centers, while also planning a variety of events, networking gatherings, and workshops to provide an "attractive stage for interaction." "When innovation occurs, whether in research or business, something 'beyond the initial intent or aim' emerges." We are continuously striving to create opportunities for many people to experience such "moments of emergence" in the KRP area.
