A rotary valve is a mechanism that inserts a rotor, which rotates driven by a motor, into a horizontal cylindrical case. The powdered material is filled into the rotor from the top and is moved to the bottom by rotation, where it is discharged and supplied by gravity. Stopping the rotation halts the supply of the powdered material, while starting the rotation initiates the supply. By combining it with a variable-speed motor, it is also possible to control the supply speed of the powdered material. The size of the rotary valve is determined by the required discharge capacity.
