高工社 Company Profile
Safer and more comfortable. Supporting maritime transport, which plays a part in global distribution.
Founded in 1915 and reorganized as a corporation in 1935, we have established a solid foundation worthy of the name "Kōkōsha of the World," supported by the development of the shipbuilding industry as a specialized manufacturer of explosion-proof equipment, lighting fixtures, wiring devices, power supply systems for refrigerated containers, and outfitting products. Our company is constantly in contact with shipowners and shipyards not only in Japan but also around the world, striving to develop new products that meet market needs, and we are actively exporting to various regions globally. In 1955, we received approval for registration as a supplier of procurement items for the Ministry of Defense (formerly the Defense Agency), and for our main products, we have obtained approvals from various national classification societies, including JG, NK, HK, LR, ABS, DNV, GL, and CCS. From the perspective of energy conservation and environmental protection, we are also focusing on the development of lighting fixtures (LED) and windows, while working on modernization of equipment and the introduction of new technologies, providing stable quality and products that lead the industry to the world.
