The "Drop Sensor II" is a device designed to prevent the falling of items from shelves during an earthquake. When it detects a set acceleration threshold, a protective bar with a bellows automatically activates. There are two types available: one that drops from the top and one that springs up from the bottom. Our previous model operated on AA batteries, but this model uses a dye-sensitized solar cell that generates power in low indoor light conditions, along with a lithium-ion capacitor, eliminating the need for battery or battery replacement. We will be exhibiting the following two products at the Disaster Prevention Technology Exhibition (Pacifico Yokohama D Hall) from February 8 to 9, 2024. Currently, both products are being developed to improve their power source from conventional dry batteries to dye-sensitized solar cells that generate electricity from low-intensity indoor lighting. ■ "Drop Sensor" This device prevents items stored on shelves from falling during an earthquake. "Anshin AutoS®" is an earthquake detection breaker that automatically shuts off the circuit breaker in the distribution board to stop power supply indoors when it detects an earthquake. The sensor can be set to detect seismic intensity in a range equivalent to seismic intensity 5 strong to 6 weak, with four adjustable levels. If the sensor detects an earthquake and the reset switch is pressed before the breaker is tripped, it can stop the breaker from tripping as well as turn off the alarm lamp and buzzer.
