We would like to introduce a case study on the development of battery contacts undertaken by Kyoei Kanamono Seisakusho. A spring trading company was looking for an OEM manufacturer but could not find a place that could realize the drawings designed by the manufacturer, so they turned to us. What was provided was a spring and the drawings created by the manufacturer's designer, but the drawings had issues, such as a high likelihood that the fit between the main body part (cover) and the mold for the main body cover would not match due to wear during mass production. 【A Twist in the Design】 ■ Resolution of Issues Through Preliminary Verification - Minimization of mold friction through prior tolerance adjustments - Increased strength by adding ribs to the hook section - Added catches to the cut-over section *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a development case of the pull-tab opening assist tool + candy bag opener "Helper," created by Kyoei Kanamono Seisakusho. We received an inquiry from a materials trading company asking if we could mass-produce a product shape they were already considering. There were several issues, including "the blade is exposed and dangerous," "the sharpness of the film depends on how the hand is held," and "the design is bland." 【A Twist in the Design Process】 - Adopted a sharp blade - Improved safety and sharpness by mounting the blade on the back side of the resin - Changed the grip part to resin and modified the design to be colorful *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a development case of the magnet catch yoke for video decks handled by Kyoei Kanamono Seisakusho. We received a request from a magnet manufacturer asking us to create a "rust-free magnet yoke." When we inquired about the application and processing, they mentioned that they were using Parkerizing and that after assembly, they were applying a boiling treatment (annealing). However, there were issues with the boiling treatment after delivery, and we worked on solving the problem in consultation with our plating partner. [Design Twist] - Adoption of tin-cobalt plating - Elimination of overlap between products by adding convex processing *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a development case of a soft-close mechanism component for sliding doors of a cupboard, handled by Kyoei Kanamono Seisakusho. We received a request from a client to "create a soft-close product that is highly functional and inexpensive." In response, we adopted a small and cost-effective disc damper. By converting the soft-close function from a linear direction to a rotational direction and utilizing the disc damper, we achieved the soft-close feature. By using a cost-effective disc damper and reducing the number of components, we successfully achieved significant cost and size reductions compared to conventional products. [Case Study] - Product: Soft-close mechanism component for cupboard sliding doors - Adopted a small and cost-effective disc damper - Achieved cost and size reductions for soft-close products - Added to our lineup of new in-house products with high added value - Obtained patents not only in Japan but also overseas *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
