"RoboTape" is a device that allows for the flexible application of foam, sponge, and felt tapes, as well as acrylic foam double-sided tape, using a robot. It automatically unwinds foam-based tapes for water sealing, moisture-proofing, soundproofing, and gap-filling from a bobbin, applies them with a robot, and cuts them. It adheres to long lengths, uneven surfaces, and curves while following the robot's movements and speed. It is also possible to apply acrylic foam double-sided tape for fixing and bonding products, either with or without a backing (transferring only the adhesive side). This leads to a reduction in manual labor, increased takt time, and improved quality.
