The school corporation Nanko Gakuen, which operates higher education institutions, has begun collaboration with VFR Corporation and Rikei Corporation to establish a vocational school aimed at training personnel capable of operating and inspecting domestically produced drones. Additionally, in collaboration with VFR and Rikei, we exhibited at "Japan Drone 2022," held at Makuhari Messe from June 21 (Tuesday) to June 23 (Thursday), 2022. We showcased the "SOTEN Virtual Trainer," which allows virtual flight experiences in disaster sites using domestically produced drones, and the VFR toy drone "VFRee-T01." Rikei Co., Ltd. has received the "Technology Award" for the fiscal year 2021 from the China Branch of the Japan Society of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering. The Rikei VR team, in collaboration with the Hiroshima University Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Research Center and the Higashihiroshima City Fire Department, has been working on a project to recreate the disaster situation from the heavy rain disaster that occurred in July 2018 using VR technology. The educational effectiveness of utilizing VR technology has been recognized, leading to this award. It is already being widely used in middle and high schools within Higashihiroshima City for educational purposes. We would like to introduce the case of Kobe City, which has implemented our "Evacuation Experience VR (Landslide Disaster Edition)." The city introduced this product in response to a decline in citizens' awareness of crisis, the difficulty of conducting training that simulates landslide disasters, and a decrease in participation rates of young people in disaster prevention training. We would like to introduce a case where the Osaka City Fire Department has implemented "Evacuation Experience VR." In order to create opportunities for more people to focus on disaster prevention, the department has been carrying out various initiatives. Among these, the introduction of VR was based on the idea that it could provide a more effective way to learn the correct evacuation behavior during a fire. Users can now experience how difficult it is to evacuate from a room filled with black smoke while relying on emergency exit lights by using VR goggles.
