We conducted experiments using a gas venting insert created with our 3D printer. Assuming it was integrated into the mold, we connected factory air (up to 0.5 MPa) and placed the insert in a water tank to visualize the air escaping from the gas venting insert. As a result, it was confirmed that air was flowing smoothly at an air pressure of 0.2 MPa. In normal injection molding, the resin pressure is at least 10 MPa or more, so we can say there is no issue with the gas venting performance. [Experiment Overview] ■ Connected factory air (up to 0.5 MPa) assuming it was integrated into the mold ■ The gas venting insert is designed as an insert structure so it can be used directly in the mold ■ Placed the insert in a water tank to visualize the air escaping from the gas venting insert *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThis column introduces the use of ejector blocks for ejection. Injection molding molds have an ejection mechanism to remove the product from the mold once the molding is complete, typically using pins for ejection. However, in cases where the molded product is large, thin-walled, or has a shape with significant release resistance, ejection marks may remain on the product. Therefore, in these cases, it is common to use a block shape that has been machined to match part of the product shape instead of standard pins for ejection. *For more details on the column, please refer to the related links. Free membership registrationThis column introduces the reduction of mold opening and extraction time in high-cycle molding. When cooling and weighing times are minimized in high-cycle molding, mold opening and extraction time becomes an issue. In high-cycle molding, mold opening and extraction time can account for about 50% of the molding cycle, and this tendency becomes stronger as the molding machine size increases. [Reduction of Mold Opening and Extraction Time] ■ Decrease in mold opening amount (not opening the mold more than necessary) ■ Reduction of waiting times for each extraction machine ■ Combined actions such as intermediate waiting and mold opening descent ■ Path (arc) movement of the extraction machine *For detailed content of the column, please refer to the related links. Free membership registrationThis column introduces the reduction of weighing time in high-cycle molding. To achieve high-cycle molding, it is necessary to consider three points: the selection of appropriate cooling equipment, high-cycle molds, and the reduction of weighing time (ideal plasticization and injection volume). In general molding machines, the mold does not open until the weighing is complete. Even if the cooling of the product is finished, the mold will not open or proceed to the ejection process until the weighing is complete. Therefore, molding machines need to have the plasticization capability to complete weighing within the cooling time. *For more details on the column, you can view it through the related link. Free membership registrationThis column introduces the reduction of weighing time in high-cycle molding. There are two methods to shorten the weighing time in the molding cycle: 1. Reducing weighing time through composite actions (weighing during opening and closing actions). 2. Using relatively thick screws to shorten weighing time. By using the plasticization calculation method, we can determine the optimal screw diameter suitable for the product and select a molding machine with a screw diameter within that range. This varies depending on the product shape and wall thickness. *For more details on the column, you can view it through the related links. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Free membership registrationThis column introduces "high-cycle molds." To achieve high-cycle molding, it is necessary to consider three points: the selection of appropriate cooling equipment, high-cycle molds, and the reduction of lightweight time (ideal plasticization and injection volume). When applied to actual molds, to minimize product dimension variation, it is ideal for the product section of the mold to have turbulent flow, while the cooling piping leading to the mold should have laminar flow. Generally, it is said that low flow = laminar flow and high flow = turbulent flow, but inside actual molds, narrow piping results in turbulent flow, while wide piping results in laminar flow. *For more details on the column, you can view it through the related links. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Free membership registrationThis column introduces the thermal properties of plastics. Compared to metal materials, plastic materials exhibit changes in state and deterioration of physical properties at much lower temperature ranges, and this narrow temperature range is a characteristic feature. There are two points where the properties of plastics change discontinuously due to temperature changes, known as the glass transition temperature and the melting point. The glass transition temperature is the temperature at which a polymer, exhibiting a soft rubber-like state, transitions to a glassy state upon cooling. The glass transition temperature is denoted as Tg and is also referred to as the secondary transition point. It is an important property that is emphasized in practical applications because above Tg, the material exhibits rubber-like elasticity. *For more detailed information about the column, please refer to the related links. Free membership registrationThis column introduces "tempering." The structure that remains after quenching is martensite, which is extremely hard but also very brittle, making it unsuitable for use in this state. Therefore, it is necessary to soften it to a specified hardness through tempering while simultaneously imparting toughness. Martensite is in an unstable state with carbon supersaturated, so when heated at low temperatures, it tends to precipitate as carbides. *For more details on the column, please refer to the related links. Free membership registrationThis column introduces the strength of plastics. Homopolymers are said to excel in rigidity and heat resistance, but how is the strength of such resins determined? Taking the tensile test of plastic molded products as an example, plastics are composed of molecular chains that are entangled with each other at room temperature. The entangled molecules gradually come apart, and when the entanglement is completely gone, fracture (breakage) occurs. In other words, materials that are difficult to break (high-strength materials) can be said to have strong entanglement. *For more details on the column, you can view it through the related links. Free membership registration"SG-WIND" is a product that dramatically enhances the gas passage performance of molds through numerous through slits. The installation cost for gas venting from the same area is lower than other methods, and due to its high opening ratio, it exhibits excellent gas venting effects. Since slits are arranged across the entire contact surface with the product, it can also handle slight variations in molding conditions and shifts in the final filling position due to differences in resin lots. Additionally, because the gas passage route is linear, the likelihood of gas solidifying and causing resin blockage along the route is reduced. [Features] - Wide vent area accommodates shifts in the final filling position - Linear path minimizes the risk of resin blockage - Low cost with equal or superior gas venting effects - No appearance abnormalities even with increased injection speed - Superior gas passage performance compared to conventional products *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce our mold surface treatment contract service "IEPKO." We achieve shorter delivery times by utilizing effective technologies for mold manufacturing that consider mass production molding and reduce mold costs. As a result, it is possible to simplify the polishing-free and ejection structure. 【Features】 ■ Improved release properties of molded products ■ Reduced adhesion of resin due to reduced friction and improved slip properties ■ Shortened delivery times by reducing polishing man-hours of molds ■ Removal of the discharge machining altered layer, burrs, and edges ■ Extended lifespan of metal parts by sealing surface defects ■ Expansion to large molds: Approximate work size 1400 x 2250 x 700 mm If you provide us with 3D data, samples, or information regarding the presence or absence of isometric drawings and masking, we will respond with a quote within four days. Please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "Yepco treatment" is a surface treatment contract service developed by engineers at Swiss Airlines as a countermeasure against turbine blade breakage. It involves "masking and cleaning," followed by the removal of processed altered layers, burrs, and edges during the "cleaning process," and then "cleaning (with air)." In the "peening process," fine cracks and depressions are closed off, and smoothing and densification are performed, followed by "cleaning and removing the masking" at the end. 【Features】 ■ Removes dirt and grease ■ Developed by engineers at Swiss Airlines as a countermeasure against turbine blade breakage ■ Effective in improving the performance and longevity of metal parts, widely used *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
