By reading existing buildings, piping, and equipment as point cloud data using a 3D scanner, we can create a rough plan within a 3D space on a computer. We would like to introduce a case where our "3D laser measurement" was utilized for creating a factory floor plan. The client is a certain cosmetics manufacturer that did not have the latest drawings of their factory and requested to create a floor plan as a measure for inspections aimed at government agencies. Based on point cloud data, we performed modeling and created a 2D floor plan. We were also able to confirm the elevation differences of the floors within the factory, which can be useful for machinery installation and other purposes. We would like to introduce a case where the appearance of Sakurabashi, which has been in use for over 90 years since its construction, was recorded in point cloud data using our "3D Laser Measurement" technology. Constructed in 1931 (Showa 6), it has been in use for approximately 90 years, with increasing traffic and damage due to aging deterioration. This time, with the permission of the Shizuoka City Construction Bureau Road Maintenance Division, we conducted work to record the appearance of Sakurabashi before its replacement in 3D point cloud data. We would like to introduce a case where we conducted "3D laser measurement" of the main hall of the Kunozan Toshogu Shrine, which is designated as a national treasure. With the permission of the Kunozan Toshogu Shrine in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture, we captured images of the exterior of the main hall, which is a magnificent Gongen-style structure boasting the unique luster of lacquer. It was uncertain how much of this delicate building we could record. However, we were able to faithfully capture structural elements such as the overall appearance, shape, and dimensions.
