The "Sarabane Chuck" is a chuck designed for high-precision gripping of large workpieces in turning and grinding operations. By applying axial force to components with slits in the sarabane, the outer diameter expands uniformly, allowing for stable processing as both the gripping force and the retracting force work simultaneously. Conventional screw lock-type supports adjust by tightening the lock nut against the tip of the screw that contacts the underside of the workpiece, but tightening the nut causes the support shaft to rise, lifting the workpiece. The DN support utilizes the pitch difference of the double screws to prevent lifting and provide accurate support by tightening the nut.
