Tohto Metallurgy Co., Ltd. will celebrate its 60th anniversary in June 2024. Our company has utilized the technology and know-how of vacuum heat treatment and HIP processing to control the material properties of our products and create added value. Business Activities
HIP Processing HIP processing refers to heat treatment conducted under high pressure using gases such as argon as the pressure medium, heated in a HIP furnace equipped with a heating element installed in a pressure vessel. Our company provides products that are similarly compressed through the synergistic effect of high isotropic pressure from high temperatures (up to 1400°C) and high pressures (up to 147 MPa), enabling powder sintering, diffusion bonding of similar and dissimilar materials, and removal of internal defects in products. Vacuum Heat Treatment Our company uses a vacuum furnace to heat materials at a vacuum level of approximately 1.0×10^-2 Pa, and cooling is performed either by furnace cooling under vacuum or rapid cooling using high-purity inert gas. This allows us to provide heat treatment processes with excellent appearance quality without causing oxidation, decarburization, or carburization. Revitalization Engineering We are engaged in revitalization engineering by combining cutting machines, 3D scanners, 3D CAD, 3D printers, heat treatment equipment, and more. Equipment - 3D Scanner φ300×H200: 1 unit - Machining Center W1300×D600×H570: 1 unit (scheduled for introduction by the end of April 2024) - 3D Printer W330×D320×H250: 1 unit
