In the future, the use of single-material disposable plastics, such as plastic shopping bags, will be restricted, and there will be a shift towards biodegradable materials. Currently, there are no regulations on multilayer materials (laminate films), but research is underway to explore whether they can be replaced with monomaterials or, even if only partially, with recycled materials or plant-based raw materials. In this context, I would like to propose solutions regarding the significant challenge (difficult problem) of imparting barrier properties in these studies! ■ Case Details - Monomaterial + Barrier Properties - Biomass Materials + Barrier Properties - Waste Reduction + Barrier Properties - Single-layer Packaging + Barrier Properties (with sealability) *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of the adoption of "S Coat," which provides excellent antistatic effects. In plastic film bags, which are insulators, the generated electricity can accumulate, leading to the possibility of sparks. This spark discharge is a concern as it can become an ignition source, potentially causing explosions or fires. With the adoption of this product, an antistatic function has been added, significantly reducing frictional charging. As a result, spark discharge has been eliminated, and there is no static electricity causing the contents to stick when removing the product from the bag, allowing for a smooth extraction. 【Case Overview】 ■ Contents - Microscopic plastic materials ■ Material Composition - PET/S Coat/DL/LLDPE *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationHere is an introduction to a case study on the adoption of "S Coat," which provides excellent antistatic effects. There were issues where the inner wall of the bag came into contact with metal chips, causing additives in the static-resistant LLDPE film (such as antistatic agents, AB agents, AO agents, etc.) to adhere, resulting in discoloration and degradation. By adopting this product and using additive-free LLDPE, it was possible to eliminate the migration of additives even when the contents came into contact with the film, resulting in zero losses due to discoloration and degradation. 【Case Overview】 ■ Contents ・Metal chips ■ Material composition before improvement ・Transparent vapor-deposited PET/DL/static-resistant LLDPE ■ Material composition after improvement ・Transparent vapor-deposited PET/S Coat/DL/additive-free LLDPE *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThere are very few companies that process water-based coatings compared to solvent-based systems. In the case of water-based coatings, the structure and know-how of the coating machinery differ significantly from those of solvent-based systems, increasing the technical difficulty. Higashi Tai leverages the technology and know-how cultivated through many years of experience in water-based coating processing to take on various functional water-based coating challenges. We are also actively engaged in joint development of new water-soluble polymers and emulsion solution coating prototypes. *Please feel free to contact us for more details.*

Free membership registrationStatic electricity on plastic films during packaging, filling, and display can cause various issues. S Coat is a colorless, transparent coating that provides anti-static properties by coating such plastic films. 【Features】 ● Since it is coated on the inner layer of laminated films, it does not suffer from performance degradation due to bleed-out like typical anti-static films, and the effect lasts semi-permanently. ● The anti-static components do not adhere to the contents. ● By adjusting the application amount, it is possible to customize the anti-static properties for food applications such as flour and shaved bonito, as well as industrial applications like cover films for carrier tapes. ● There is a track record of coating on OPP and PET-based substrates (coating tests on new substrates are also ongoing). ● It also functions as a protective coat for barrier films, reducing barrier degradation due to cracks (there are grades that are not humidity-dependent). <Case Studies> ■ Metal chips ■ Fine plastic materials We will explain the material composition and issues before improvement for each case, as well as the material composition and effects after improvement! We will introduce case studies of problem-solving using "S Coat." *For more details, please contact us or download the PDF.

Free membership registrationWe are currently offering a technical document on our uniquely developed antistatic processing technology, which utilizes the processing know-how from East Thailand. The antistatic coating process "S Coat" is a special treatment that combines "antistatic" and "barrier degradation suppression," primarily applied to transparent vapor-deposited PET films. This document compares the differences in performance degradation and antistatic properties with static prevention films, highlighting the advantages of S Coat films. [Contents] ■ Differences from general static prevention films ■ In the case of standard static prevention (reduction of surface resistance due to surfactants) ■ In the case of S Coat (conductor proximity effect due to special polymers) ■ Differences due to performance degradation ■ Antistatic properties of S Coat *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
