Inheritance of skilled techniques and quality improvement through cutting process simulation.

Wouldn't it be helpful to utilize numerical data for machining processes, rather than just relying on intuition and tips, to inherit the machining techniques you have developed so far? *Successful case studies available for free.

Attention all machining technology professionals involved in cutting processes using machine tools in daily operations! Free materials on the quantification of cutting processes will be distributed to seminar participants! While the aging of skilled technicians makes the transfer of skills urgent, cutting phenomena are complex, and it is not easy to express that experience and know-how in words. However, by simulating cutting phenomena on a computer and quantifying difficult-to-measure elements such as stress and temperature, it becomes possible to discuss current machining conditions with data, which can further be utilized for exploring better conditions. To ensure efficient operations even in telework environments, we will provide online support services. We will introduce case studies on how to utilize cutting simulation for tool shape consideration, optimization of machining conditions, and improvement of tool life. If you are interested in the following keywords, please download the materials and apply! ■ Optimization of machining conditions ■ Reduction of machining time ■ Reduction of machining costs ■ Consideration of tool shapes ■ Improvement of tool life ■ Consideration of chips ■ Deformation after machining And more!

Introduction of new features in cutting process simulation

Enhanced cutting simulation supports a wide range of machining! Assisting in solving various challenges related to cutting!

We will explain the features and operations of the new versions of AdvantEdge FEM and the Production Module. In AdvantEdge FEM, it is now possible to define the movements of both the tool and the workpiece separately. This allows for the modeling of a wide range of phenomena, not only machining processes such as skiving and spinning tools but also processes like roll forming and impact analysis on metal sheets. In the Production Module, the shape of the workpiece during machining can now be output as a voxel mesh, which can be used for deformation analysis along with cutting force mapping files. 【Announcement of the Cutting CAE Conference】 The annual Cutting CAE Conference, where users utilizing cutting CAE present case studies, is scheduled to be held online on January 20, 2021. Along with the Cutting CAE Conference, we encourage you to consider participating in the webinar at this time. We sincerely look forward to your participation.

New Approach to Processing Program Analysis Method: Distortio

Consideration of clamp position also in the simulation!

The deformation analysis option "Distortio" of the cutting process simulation Production Module allows for the analysis and simulation of material deformation caused by machining. This shifts the decision-making of machining conditions from experience and intuition to pre-examination through simulation. Itochu Techno-Solutions Corporation, which supports your company's digital transformation (DX), offers cutting process simulation. We are now in the era of digital twins, where you can simulate the machining results by changing tools or modifying machining paths. We would be happy to assist you in digitizing your machining challenges! *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
