We would like to introduce a case where we successfully reduced the setup time for our plastic molding machine cleaning agent "TS Super Clean." In a case where the material color change process during injection molding was taking a long time, the monthly setup changes were performed about 4 to 5 times, with a setup change time of 30 to 40 minutes per change, resulting in a total time of 3.33 hours per month. As an improvement method, we proposed the combined use of "SX type" TS Super Clean followed by "RW type" after a few shots for cleaning. As a result, the color change was shortened to a total usage of 3.5 kg with 3 shots (2 kg) of "SX type" followed by 2 shots (1.5 kg) of "RW type." Additionally, the setup time was reduced to just under 15 minutes per change, bringing the total time down to 1.25 hours per month, achieving a halving effect in both quantity and time for the cleaning agent usage. 【Overview】 ■ Current Situation - Time was spent on color removal of the previous material during setup changes. ■ Proposal - Combined use of TS Super Clean. ■ Result - Setup time reduced to just under 15 minutes per change, total time reduced to 1.25 hours per month. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

In the material color change process during injection molding, there was a case where a large amount of material was used for color changes, resulting in about 7 to 8 setup changes per month, taking a total of approximately 4 hours per month. As an improvement method, we proposed the combined use of "SX type" of TS Super Clean followed by "RW type" after a few shots for cleaning. As a result, the color change was shortened to a total usage of 4.5 kg, with 3 shots (3.0 kg) of "SX type" followed by 2 shots (1.5 kg) of "RW type." Additionally, the number of setups was reduced from 7 to 8 times per month (18 minutes per time) to a total time of 2.4 hours per month, achieving reductions in both the amount of cleaning agent used and setup time. In the material color change process during injection molding, a significant amount of material was used for color changes, which also took a lot of time. In one instance, each color change required 40kg of cleaning agent and 30kg of switching material, with three setups per month, resulting in a monthly waste of 210kg. As an improvement method, we proposed the combined use of "SX Type" of TS Super Clean followed by "RW Type" after a few shots of cleaning. As a result, after using 20kg of "SX Type" and 15kg of "RW Type," we were able to shorten the color change to a total usage of 35kg. Additionally, the usage of cleaning agents and switching materials improved from 70kg per change to 35kg per change.
