We aim to be a company that contributes to the creation of a prosperous society by sincerely proposing essential culture and science for everyday life.
Our company was founded in 1892 as Tokyo Hat Company, the first domestic hat manufacturing company. Subsequently, we changed our name to Obex Co., Ltd., and we have expanded our business activities into the fields of medical devices and cosmetics by applying felt production technology to the manufacturing of sign pen tips and pen tip manufacturing techniques. Moving forward, we will continue to engage in manufacturing with the sincerity and indomitable spirit that have been passed down for many years, in order to create "more useful and superior products."
Business Activities
■Technology Division We produce pen tips made from raw materials such as polyester fibers, nylon fibers, acrylic fibers, and engineering plastics, and we have received high praise for our long-established reliability and technological development capabilities. Furthermore, the reliability and technological development capabilities we have built over many years in pen tip manufacturing are also applied in the cosmetic field. We respond to various needs with a wide range of high-quality products, including lip liners, nail care, and nail art, covering both makeup and care applications. In addition to the above, we are expanding into various fields, and our products are utilized not only for coating applications but also as components for PC peripherals and industrial equipment. They hold great potential as components that can control the flow of liquids and gases with high precision. ■Medical Division Using flow control tubes developed from the technology cultivated in pen tip manufacturing, we combine them with uniquely developed flow controllers and PCA devices to create pressurized drug injectors. We also pursue safety and functionality, offering a lineup of guide wires tailored to various medical scenarios, contributing to the improvement of patients' quality of life (QOL).
