Achromatic polarizing film (polarizer) suppresses the hue changes seen in conventional polarizing films. In conventional polarizers, white display at parallel position could appear yellow-green, and black could take on a blue tint. 'MUSAISYOKU' is a polarizing film that maintains a constant transmittance for each wavelength at both parallel and perpendicular positions. As a result, it achieves true neutral gray, providing paper white color for white displays and clear black for black displays. It is a dye-based polarizer that can achieve high color reproduction even in reflective LCDs and semi-transparent LCDs. Due to its excellent durability (light resistance), it can be applied to portable devices such as smartwatches and outdoor full-color digital signage applications. However, conventional polarizing films have exhibited discoloration at the edges during high temperature and high humidity testing. In automotive LCDs, there is a trend towards narrower bezels, and in devices like AR/VR/HMDs, smaller components are required. When edge discoloration occurs, it can lead to issues such as light leakage. Our polarizing film improves edge discoloration during high temperature and high humidity testing, preventing the edge discoloration required for components in automotive displays and AR/VR/HMDs.

This is a polarizing film with high polarization degree for near ultraviolet (UV) to blue light sources in the range of 370 to 430 nm.
