With the capability for free processing of both inner and outer diameters, shapes similar to metal parts, such as corner grooves and round grooves, as well as inner diameter boss shapes can be machined. However, since carbon fibers are cut during processing, special care must be taken regarding the fiber direction during molding to maintain strength. We conduct various cutting processes, prototype and small-batch production, as well as unique development of materials (primary products). The ability to perform dish holes and pocket machining is a significant advantage of cutting processes. While water jet and laser cutting can penetrate, cutting machining allows for free adjustment of pocket depth. Furthermore, although CFRP materials have layers, we can achieve a clean finish on the bottom surface with special tools, enabling processing that does not cause delamination between layers, even for trims and thin shapes. It is possible to continuously process over 100 micro-holes with a diameter of φ0.5mm to φ0.2mm using a single cutting tool. Additionally, we have successfully reduced costs by using our uniquely developed cutting tools. Furthermore, we can process both UD and cross materials with a thickness of 0.5mm to 1.5mm. Free membership registration"Warasuyama Carbon" is our processing technology that has successfully transitioned from conventional continuous processing of φ0.5mm holes to continuous processing of 100 holes ranging from φ0.3mm to φ0.2mm. Inner diameter processing allows for cutting of grooves and steps, expanding its use as mechanical components. Through the development of cutting tools, tools, and methods, we can process pockets, countersunk holes, screws, grooves, hexagonal holes, and more, as well as perform fine precision adjustments that are possible only through cutting processing.
