The latest 5th generation EPYC has evolved in every aspect! The EPYC 9005 series is a server CPU that adopts the Zen 5 or Zen 5c architecture and is manufactured using 3nm or 4nm process rules. The top model, EPYC 9965, features 192 cores and 384 threads, with an increase in instructions per cycle (IPC) of up to 1.7 times compared to the previous generation model. It can perform general processing 2.7 times faster compared to the "Xeon Platinum 8592+". Database processing speed is 3.9 times faster, and video transcoding processing speed is 4 times faster. Furthermore, in the HPC field, it demonstrates up to 3.9 times the processing performance. The EPYC 9005 series is characterized by its high processing performance while keeping volume and power consumption low, allowing for an 87% reduction in the number of servers and a 68% reduction in power consumption when aiming for the same performance as competing products. OpenFOAM is a fluid simulation software that allows for numerical fluid analysis free of charge.
