Free membership registrationThis document presents case studies on the water treatment methods for nitrogen components (ammonium) and zinc, which are present in high concentrations in plating wastewater. Since ammonium and zinc are found in high concentrations in plating wastewater, an effective method is to reduce ammonia using ammonia stripping, which volatilizes it as ammonia gas and then treats zinc through coagulation and sedimentation. In cases where ammonia is at a significantly high concentration, it is anticipated that ammonia may remain even after ammonia stripping treatment. Therefore, a combined method is employed, which includes discontinuous point chlorine treatment using hypochlorous acid after the coagulation treatment, achieving treatment to a level suitable for river discharge. The PDF document provides detailed information on the treatment flow. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationFactory wastewater and boiler blowdown water often have pH values that are either acidic or alkaline, making it impossible to discharge them as they are. Adjusting such wastewater to a neutral range (around pH 7) is referred to as "pH neutralization treatment." In your factories, you are likely conducting pH neutralization treatment for wastewater such as waste acids and waste alkalis, as well as for coagulation reactions. Generally, there are two common methods of pH neutralization treatment: ◯ Carbon dioxide method ◯ Chemical addition method This document introduces the various types of pH neutralization treatments and explains how pH neutralization is carried out. *For more details, please download the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where we provided design, construction, and consulting for an electrolysis-based wastewater treatment facility at a cosmetics factory. Since the factory primarily manufactures shampoo, body soap, and sunscreen (UV), the wastewater contains a high level of normal hexane extractable substances. By using electric ions generated to adsorb impurities, we separate emulsified fats from the wastewater and form flocs (aggregates). By removing these from the wastewater, we can discharge the treated water into the sewer system. Previously, we used a coagulation-sedimentation method for treatment, but since switching to the electrolysis method, we have been able to reduce sludge generation by 70-80%. 【Case Overview】 ■ Facility Type: Cosmetics Factory Electrolysis-based Wastewater Treatment Facility ■ Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD): Raw Water 710 → Treated Water 370 ■ Normal Hexane Extractable Substances: Raw Water 150 → Treated Water 3 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where we provided design, construction, and consulting services for a biological treatment wastewater treatment facility located in a meat and seafood processing plant. The contact oxidation-biological treatment method adopted at this facility involves filling the biological treatment tank with fixed contact media, utilizing the purification effect of aerobic microorganisms that adhere to the surface of the media for treatment. To maximize installation costs and maintenance efficiency, the facility employs a semi-underground design. Additionally, a deodorization system using a scrubber method is installed to neutralize and discharge odors generated during the treatment process. 【Case Overview】 ■ Facility Type: Biological treatment wastewater treatment facility for meat and seafood processing plants ■ Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD): Influent 420 → Effluent 6.3 ■ Suspended Solids (SS): Influent 60 → Effluent 4.0 ■ Normal Hexane Extractable Substances: Influent 22 → Effluent less than 0.5 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where we provided design, construction, and consulting services for a batch reactor type wastewater treatment facility for pig farms' manure and urine management. The manure and urine produced by pigs raised on the farm results in high-concentration wastewater, so we have adopted a natural purification method reactor system for treatment without dilution. This system artificially creates the process by which organic matter becomes soil (self-purification in swamps and lakes) within the reactor tower of the treatment tank, applying it to the treatment of organic wastewater. To save space, this treatment method employs a batch system that allows aeration, sedimentation, and discharge of treated water all within a single tank. 【Case Overview】 ■ Facility Type: Batch Reactor Type Wastewater Treatment Facility for Pig Farm Manure and Urine Management ■ Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD): Raw Water 7300 → Treated Water 16 ■ Total Nitrogen Content (T-N): Raw Water 3400 → Treated Water 18 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where we provided design, construction, and consulting for a grease decomposition wastewater treatment facility at a kimchi manufacturing plant. In this facility, we adopted a grease decomposition system as a pretreatment for biological treatment, which is unsuitable for high concentrations of grease. This system breaks down the grease into a form that is easier for biological treatment. For the biological treatment, we employed a contact aeration method that generates less excess sludge and is easier to maintain. In conventional treatment technologies, grease is difficult to decompose and can negatively impact microorganisms, making pretreatment of grease through grease traps and coagulation pressure flotation devices essential. By adopting the "grease decomposition system" as a solution to many issues, grease is decomposed, eliminating the need for large-scale treatment equipment. 【Case Overview】 ■ Facility: Kimchi Manufacturing Plant, Grease Decomposition Wastewater Treatment Facility ■ Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD): Influent 2000 → Effluent 230 ■ Normal Hexane Extractable Substances: Influent 150 → Effluent 15 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of the design, construction, and consulting for a coagulation sedimentation wastewater treatment facility at a construction machinery manufacturing plant. The washing wastewater generated during processes such as painting in the manufacturing of construction machinery contains a large amount of heavy metals and phosphorus, which is why this facility employs a coagulation sedimentation treatment method. To efficiently treat the heavy metals and phosphorus contained in the wastewater, lime and coagulants are added to the reaction tank to effectively generate coagulation flocs. Additionally, by adjusting the pH, the generated coagulation flocs are allowed to grow larger, and then, through a sedimentation tank, the flocs are settled by gravity, achieving good solid-liquid separation. The clear supernatant water is discharged as treated water, while the settled sludge is removed through a dewatering process. [Case Overview] ■ Facility Addressed: Construction Machinery Manufacturing Plant, Coagulation Sedimentation Wastewater Treatment Facility *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
