We would like to introduce a case we proposed. The molds for rubber parts that have been in use for over a decade had deteriorated, leading to a high defect rate and poor yield. There was an urgent need to improve these molds. Therefore, we proposed mold modifications along with changes in the number of parts taken, resulting in improved quality and reduced costs. As a result, we achieved a cost reduction of approximately 0.9 yen per unit, saving 495,000 yen annually with a production increase of 550,000 units, and a dramatic improvement in yield. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

We would like to introduce a case that our company proposed. With the increase in demand for water-related components (check valves), production volume is transitioning from 15,000 units per month to 30,000 units per month. However, there was a challenge of supply shortages due to insufficient production capacity. Therefore, we proposed a method of sourcing stainless steel valve-type products that have been manufactured by another company for the past ten years and assembling them in-house. By changing the sourced products to those from an automotive parts manufacturing company, we improved quality and reduced costs. Additionally, we created a simple assembly machine to enable in-house assembly. As a result, we achieved a cost reduction of approximately 7.0 yen per unit, saving 500,000 units annually, which amounts to a reduction of 3.5 million yen per year, contributing to a stable supply of components. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Here is an example we proposed. The development department of our client set a goal for "significant cost reduction," requiring a cost reduction of about 800,000 yen for eight components. Therefore, we proposed a shape that maintains functionality, is easier to assemble, and reduces the overall length by 9mm and weight by 61 grams to the person in charge of cost reduction in the development department.
