We would like to introduce a case that our company proposed. With the increase in demand for water-related components (check valves), production volume is transitioning from 15,000 units per month to 30,000 units per month. However, there was a challenge of supply shortages due to insufficient production capacity. Therefore, we proposed a method of sourcing stainless steel valve-type products that have been manufactured by another company for the past ten years and assembling them in-house. By changing the sourced products to those from an automotive parts manufacturing company, we improved quality and reduced costs. Additionally, we created a simple assembly machine to enable in-house assembly. As a result, we achieved a cost reduction of approximately 7.0 yen per unit, saving 500,000 units annually, which amounts to a reduction of 3.5 million yen per year, contributing to a stable supply of components. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
