We are pleased to announce that Sankei Co., Ltd. has started selling the THK manufactured transport robot "SIGNAS"! "SIGNAS (Singpost Navigation System)" is a transport robot that autonomously navigates while recognizing "signposts" using its built-in camera. Unlike AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) that require route tapes and are commonly used in many manufacturing and logistics sites, it features a unique autonomous movement control system that realizes an unprecedented new guidance method. While labor shortages are becoming increasingly serious in today's workplaces, there is a growing demand for the automation of simple tasks and improvements in the productivity of on-site staff. "SIGNAS" not only automates transport tasks that were traditionally performed by humans but also aims to enhance productivity through collaborative work with people. Sanki Co., Ltd. will be exhibiting at "Mechatrotech Japan 2023," held at Port Messe Nagoya. This exhibition is a machine tool fair that started in 1987 and is held in the fall of odd-numbered years at Port Messe Nagoya in Nagoya City.
