Asymmetric distortions such as wavy distortions and S-shaped distortions are one of the major challenges in the textile manufacturing process. Distortion refers to the state where the vertical and horizontal threads, which should originally intersect at right angles, are deformed into shapes like parallelograms or trapezoids. To restore the vertical and horizontal threads to their original state, Orthomax RFMB utilizes a freely rotating inclined pinwheel to apply a specific tension in the direction of fabric expansion. This tension in the width direction pulls the horizontal threads. Not only general skew and bow distortions but also wavy and S-shaped distortions are corrected. Any distortions that could not be fully corrected are removed by the next roll correction machine.
