300°C Heat-Resistant Plastic | HPS | Lumia X1 This is a material called HI TEMP 300-AMB produced with the Lumia X1. It features heat resistance above 300°C and high rigidity, making it suitable for manufacturing high-temperature components. It has a high tensile modulus of 4000 MPa and can be used for tooling and functional testing. Furthermore, since this material is translucent, it allows for visual confirmation of internal flow and structure during the manufacturing of complex-shaped parts, which can be utilized in product design and performance evaluation. The 300°C heat-resistant plastic also excels in durability, with strong resistance to ultraviolet light and humidity, ensuring stable quality over long periods, as confirmed by the manufacturer's test results. In particular, it is expected to demonstrate stable performance in high-temperature environments, which was difficult to achieve with conventional 3D printing materials, especially in the prototyping of engine parts and exhaust systems.

Free membership registrationThis is a material called Tough Clear, outputted with Lumia X1. The weather-resistant clear resin has high resistance to ultraviolet rays and humidity, and its long-term stability and environmental adaptability, which maintain stable performance over an extended period, have been confirmed by the manufacturer's test results. Because this material is transparent, it allows for visual confirmation of internal flow and structure in the manufacturing of complex-shaped parts, making it useful for product design and performance evaluation. Chemical resistance is also a characteristic of this material, and the manufacturer's test results show resistance to the following chemicals: - Gasoline - Diesel fuel - Engine oil - Ethanol - Acetone - Detergent solution - Hydrochloric acid - Sodium carbonate solution - Sodium hypochlorite solution - Sulfuric acid - Sodium hydroxide solution - Distilled water *For details of the manufacturer's test results, please download and check the data sheet. *At DMM.make, we usually deliver with support, but by selecting the "removal available" option, we can deliver without support.

Free membership registrationFILLTUNE Inc. is a startup that plans and manufactures auditory support devices with clear and powerful sound quality by utilizing specialized bone conduction technology. Its flagship product, "CLEAR," has raised over 80 million yen through crowdfunding and is widely used in medical and caregiving settings, as well as by individuals. (As of July 2024) This time, we utilized DMM's commissioned modeling service for the prototyping of a new device aimed at medical and caregiving environments. The prototype is a speaker that can be used similarly to a stethoscope, which will be used by doctors during patient interviews. This device addresses the challenge that "interviewing senior patients with hearing impairments is burdensome for both doctors and patients." By placing the speaker against the patient's skin while the doctor speaks into a microphone at the chest level, clear audio is transmitted to the patient through bone conduction. We created a total of 18 units of the speaker's exterior and microphone clip using DMM.make's PA12W White at a low cost. We are conducting proof-of-concept experiments by providing the prototypes directly to medical and caregiving settings.

Free membership registrationHirable Inc. sells solutions that utilize sound environment analysis technology to improve the quality of communication. A cloud service that objectively visualizes discussions, which are difficult to evaluate quantitatively, has been implemented in various educational settings and corporations, yielding positive results. We utilized DMM for the prototype of new hardware for a service called Bamiel, which aims to "create an office where conversations happen." The prototype is the exterior of a cylindrical recorder with a diameter of about 10 cm. By installing recorders throughout the office and statistically analyzing naturally occurring conversations with dedicated software while protecting privacy, we support the creation of a productive office environment conducive to conversation. The new design prototype was initiated in response to the challenge that existing recorders, primarily used in educational settings, may not fit well in some office environments. Since the sound collection performance subtly changes depending on the shape and structure of the exterior, we are advancing the design by quickly producing various prototypes at DMM. The project is progressing with the assumption of utilizing 3D printing for initial mass production, avoiding large upfront investments like molds in the early stages, thereby enabling not only hardware prototyping but also low-risk business viability assessments.

Free membership registrationWe heard from Mr. Yamagishi of Interstellar Technologies Inc., a private company engaged in the development, manufacturing, and launch services of rockets. Interstellar Technologies Inc. is well-remembered for being the first in Japan to reach space with a private rocket. In 2021, they launched two observation rockets, "Neji no Rocket (MOMO No. 7)" and "TENGA Rocket (MOMO No. 6)," both of which successfully reached outer space, and parts created using DMM.make were installed on them! We would like to introduce a case where the use of 3D printing enabled agile development with short lead times while maintaining design flexibility and keeping costs down.

DMM.make has been providing services since the dawn of 3D printing technology in Japan. We promise to support you in realizing your ideas. First, we will discuss your intended use, requests, and budget in a meeting, and we will also provide samples free of charge. Please feel free to contact us. The samples introduced on this page are high-resolution ceramic-like material samples produced using the HPS method. These samples are arranged without supports, so there is a possibility of chipping on the back when removed from the 3D printer. When you order a model, we will take measures to avoid chipping during removal, but please be aware that if you prefer a version without supports, similar risks may occur. We will send you both a sample that has undergone heat treatment and one that has not. The one that is closer to white and has less yellow tint is the sample that has undergone heat treatment.
