MI-6 Company Overview

This webinar will explain the characteristics of MI promotion personnel in companies where "the establishment and deployment of MI is progressing," as observed through MI-6's support for over 250 companies in promoting MI. MI promotion personnel can be broadly categorized into two types: the "Specialist type," who excels in technical deep dives, and the "Community Leader type," who engages the organization. In this webinar, we will specifically introduce the activities that take place in the early stages of MI implementation and the challenges that are commonly faced in each situation. We will also explain the progression images of MI promotion from both the Specialist and Community Leader perspectives, as well as the importance of a hybrid promotion system during the stable operation and expansion phases. We will provide hints on how to ensure that MI is not a one-off effort but is continuously utilized across the organization, along with MI-6's support for developing and discovering promotion personnel (such as miHub and Hands-on MI). However, long-term tests take time to yield results, and sensory evaluations face challenges in quantification and reproducibility. How to organize these evaluation data and utilize them for the next decision-making is a common theme in many fields. In this webinar, we will introduce an approach that utilizes Materials Informatics (MI) to continuously accumulate and structure long-term test and sensory evaluation data, applying it to development decisions. We will discuss how to organize and transform not only easily manageable data like physical property values but also evaluation data that includes variability and subjectivity into usable forms.
