We would like to introduce the manufacturing process of forged products at Edogawa Kanko Co., Ltd. First, materials are received, followed by cutting and heating processes, and then we proceed to the forging process, using forging presses, hammers, and friction presses for the work. Forging is a technique that involves applying force to metal to change its shape (forming) while also strengthening the metal structure. In simple terms, it means striking (hammering) iron to shape it while making it stronger, where the "tan" in "tanzou" refers to the "tan" in "training," meaning to forge.
