We would like to introduce an example of the Kasinaga pest control activities conducted by our company. This year, a total of 180 "Kasinaga traps" will be installed on 60 trees at Meiji Shrine. Dangerous trees are being processed to prevent accidents caused by fallen trees and dead branches. The pest control method using "Kasinaga traps" is a safe method that suppresses damage by supporting the trees, relying on natural forces rather than chemical agents. [Case Overview] ■ Activity Location: Meiji Shrine ■ Activity Content: Installation of a total of 180 "Kasinaga traps" on 60 trees *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case of the chestnut borer control activities conducted by our company. In Suginami Ward, there is a magnificent chestnut orchard with about 400 trees, and those chestnut trees began to be attacked by the chestnut borer. There are 12 large oak trees around the orchard, and it seems that the chestnut borer, which flew in targeting those oaks, also attacked the chestnuts. As a result, three chestnut trees and twelve oak trees were covered with sheets, and subsequently, several hundred trees were also covered with sheets. [Case Overview] ■ Activity Location: Chestnut Orchard in Suginami Ward ■ Activity Content: After covering three chestnut trees and twelve oak trees with sheets, several hundred trees were also covered. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case of the Kasinaga pest control activities we conducted. We installed "Kasinaga traps" on five trees at a private affiliated junior high school in Suginami Ward, covered twelve trees with sheets and spread cypress pellets, and installed a urethane cover on one tree. The feature of the pest control method using "Kasinaga traps" is that it suppresses the occurrence of dead trees, which reduces the costs necessary for processing dead trees, thereby lowering the total expenses. 【Case Overview】 ■ Activity Location: Private affiliated junior high school in Suginami Ward ■ Activity Details - Installed "Kasinaga traps" on five trees - Covered twelve trees with sheets and spread cypress pellets - Installed a urethane cover on one tree *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case of the prevention activities we conducted against the Kasinaga pest. We received a report from a kindergarten in Tokyo that a tree with a flying squirrel nesting box was dying due to oak wilt. We advised them to cover the base of a newly installed nesting box tree with a protective sheet. Although city staff applied the protective sheet, upon inspecting the site, we found that the "base" was not covered. Therefore, we covered the base with urethane and also spread hinoki pellets. 【Case Overview】 ■ Activity Location: Kindergarten in Tokyo ■ Activity Details - Covered the base with urethane - Spread hinoki pellets *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "Kashinonagakikuisu Trap," co-developed with Masahide Kobayashi from the Kyoto Prefectural Forestry and Agriculture Technology Center, is a pest control trap designed to capture the Kashinonagakikuisu beetle, which is responsible for the phenomenon known as "nara-kare" (tree dieback), in order to protect forests. Nara-kare refers to the damage caused when the Kashinonagakikuisu beetle launches concentrated attacks on trees, leading to their death. There have been reports of damage caused by fallen trees that have decayed due to nara-kare, which can injure people. Previously, trunk injection was recommended, but in recent years it has not been advised due to its lack of effectiveness. Pest control traps that do not rely on chemicals are gaining attention as a safe method of prevention. The most costly aspect of nara-kare countermeasures is the treatment of dead trees, which also involves risks. Many pest control methods aim to "reduce the number of dead trees." The pest control method using the Kashinonagakikuisu Trap can suppress the occurrence of dead trees, thereby reducing the costs associated with their treatment and lowering overall expenses. Trees installed with the Kashinonagakikuisu Trap capture many of the incoming Kashinonaga beetles, making them less susceptible to concentrated attacks and helping to prevent dieback.

Free membership registration"Nara-kare" refers to the damage caused when the Kashinaga (Cyllene sp.) launches a concentrated attack (mass attack) on trees, leading to their death. The "Kashinaga Trap" is a tool designed to protect forests by increasing the number of surviving trees that have endured Kashinaga infestation within the forest. This user manual introduces the features and installation methods of the pest control method using this product. Please download and take a look. [Contents] ■ Overview ■ Mechanism of the Kashinaga Trap ■ Features of the pest control method using the Kashinaga Trap ■ Installation method ■ Steps for pest control using the Kashinaga Trap *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
