To support this, the EU is considering the introduction of regulations on the export of iron scrap, aimed at protecting industries and promoting low-carbon materials through domestic recycling material production. From the perspective of low-carbon materials, there are initiatives like green steel, but in the EU, there have been repeated delays and cancellations. As a result, the EU has established CO2 offsetting through green steel as a condition for continuing the sale of internal combustion vehicles to create demand.
