Construction of the Starla furnace and surrounding refractory materials. The Starla furnace is a device that rotates and stirs the molten metal. Unlike conventional melting furnaces (which are heated from above by gas burners, etc.), stirring helps to achieve uniform temperature of the molten metal, resulting in energy savings and reduced labor for slag removal.
