"Specified Skilled Worker" refers to the "workforce" implemented on April 1, 2019, to address labor shortages. In industries facing severe labor shortages, it has become possible to accept foreign workers who possess certain expertise and skills and can be immediately productive. The projected number of accepted workers is up to 345,150 over a five-year period starting from April 1, 2019. The Foreign Technical Intern Training Program is a system designed to transfer skills, techniques, or knowledge cultivated in our country to developing regions through on-the-job training (OJT). It was established with the aim of contributing to "human resource development" that supports the economic development of those developing regions. Foreign technical intern trainees aim to acquire practical skills and other competencies under an employment relationship with the implementing organization (host companies) for a maximum of five years. 【Acceptance Patterns】 ■ Company-Sole Type - Japanese companies directly accept full-time employees from overseas partner companies. - They carry out various procedures related to acceptance, including pre-assignment training such as Japanese language education. ■ Group Management Type - Small and medium-sized enterprise organizations, such as non-profit business cooperatives, act as "supervisory organizations." - They handle necessary procedures for acceptance, such as creating technical intern training plans, and conduct educational guidance and other necessary tasks from entry to return. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
