KOALA Tech Co., Ltd. (Location: Nishi Ward, Fukuoka City, Representative Director: Takashi Fujiwara) has been selected for "J-startup KYUSHU," a regional version of the "J-Startup Program" that the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has been implementing to support startups since 2018, which was established in December 2021.

KOALA Tech Co., Ltd. (Location: Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City, Representative Director: Jean Charles Ribierre) has begun joint research and development on device technology for the practical application of organic semiconductor laser elements with Sony Group Corporation (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Chairman and President CEO: Kenichiro Yoshida). By combining our expertise in the development of organic semiconductor laser diode (OSLD) technology with the semiconductor manufacturing technology cultivated by Sony Group, we will collaboratively conduct research and development of innovative and high-performance device technology for organic semiconductor lasers that enables high-efficiency laser oscillation. This will create new applications that leverage the characteristics of OSLD.

KOALA Tech Co., Ltd. (Location: Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City, CEO: Jean Charles Ribierre) has started joint research and development with Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Osamu Hashimoto) on the development of organic dyes for the practical application of organic semiconductor laser devices. By combining our expertise in organic semiconductor laser diode (OSLD) technology development with Mitsui Chemicals' knowledge of organic dyes, we aim to jointly conduct innovative research and development of organic dyes that enable high-efficiency laser oscillation in the near-infrared wavelength range, with the goal of implementation and introduction into smartphones and wearable devices.
