We would like to introduce a case of exporting a model ship displayed in our own building, from a trading company in Tokyo. Prior to the export, we conducted a site visit to measure the actual model ship and check whether it was securely fixed to its pedestal. Since the model ship was housed in a showcase with four legs on the pedestal, we prepared load-bearing materials to lift the four legs, resulting in a special packaging method that secured the lower part. One important consideration was to design the packaging to withstand the weight of 2000kg per statue. On the day of the packaging work, since the company was nearby, we went to the site to perform the skid packaging. Although it was possible to secure the statue with wood due to its nature, we opted for a packaging method that used Everlush to secure both the skid and the statue. This is an example of a customer who previously requested a painting and this time requested a model of a glass case. Initially, when we were contacted, we discussed a large glass case model, but I was relieved to find that the size was smaller than expected. However, it was still glass, so we carefully packaged the glass parts with tissue paper, craft paper, and bubble wrap. We would like to introduce a case of packing and transporting a spear and other artworks from a certain exhibition room in Tokyo to a museum located about 20 km away in the Tokyo area. Since the spear features mother-of-pearl inlay, we cannot touch the shell parts on the surface of the spear, so we used cotton bedding and special cushioning materials to pack the other parts.
