Asahi Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture / President: Yasunori Suzuki) has started the release of the fixture for three-dimensional measuring machines (CMM fixture) called "Positioning-kun" from our inspection tools and measuring instruments brand kensatools on November 7, 2023. In the labor-intensive and time-consuming process of three-dimensional measurement, this CMM fixture "Positioning-kun" helps maintain and improve measurement accuracy as well as enhance measurement efficiency. Typically, a three-dimensional measuring machine is used to measure the geometric characteristics of products; however, while it is very convenient for measuring geometric characteristics, it requires steps such as workpiece positioning and coordinate setting before actual measurement, which can take considerable time. Traditionally, in our inspection field, we have been devising ways to quickly and repeatedly set the workpiece in the same position by preparing "CMM fixtures" tailored to the products. We decided to add this "CMM fixture," named "Positioning-kun," to our product lineup as it can contribute to the efficiency of inspection time.
