In the demonstration support project in Kurashiki City, wireless vibration sensors have been installed at the waterworks and sewage treatment plant. It has been one month since the installation, and abnormal signs have been detected in the motor bearings of the pumps. The three pumps in the drainage system, Pumps 5 to 7, are the same equipment used for the same purpose. Therefore, measuring the vibrations of the same parts of these three pumps should yield similar values, but this time they were significantly different. We are comparing the vibrations at the coupling side bearing of the motors. The unit of vibration is mG (1/1000 of gravitational acceleration). - Motor of Pump 5: Vibration value 3,000 mG with a slight upward trend - Motor of Pump 6: Vibration value 13,000 mG with an upward trend - Motor of Pump 7: Vibration value 1,500 mG with no upward trend This indicates a high possibility of damage to the motor bearings of Pumps 5 and 6, and frequency analysis of the vibrations determined that both showed signs of outer race damage in the bearings. Please refer to the attached file for more details.

We have been selected for the demonstration experiment support project in Kurashiki City and are proceeding with the installation of 176 vibration sensors in the waterworks and wastewater treatment facilities. Although the experimental period is relatively short at about six months, based on past results, we have detected 1-2% of anomalies relative to the number of sensors, so we hope to achieve some results.
