The portable air permeability testing machine FX3345 "Flex Air" is capable not only of standard air permeability tests and pressure loss measurements but also of measuring used filter cloths and conducting measurements on machines. By adopting a blow-out type measurement pump, it can measure the air permeability of moisture-laden test subjects and dirty objects such as used bag filters in waste incinerators without sucking in air, by blowing out instead. ◆ Features - Compact Design The "Flex Air" can be used in various locations. The "FX3000-IV" is a waterproof testing machine capable of conducting waterproof pressure tests up to 7 bar (equivalent to 70 meters of water column). Additionally, by using the optional automatic water droplet detection system, the operator no longer needs to check for water droplets and end the measurement manually. The airbag-specific permeability testing machine (permeability meter) FX3350 (manufactured by Swiss company Textest) reproduces the state of an airbag during expansion and contraction by rapidly injecting air into the fabric. To inject air, the storage volume is filled to the desired starting pressure and released outside through the test fabric. As a result, the pressure on the test fabric rises to a maximum pressure difference of about 1,000 mbar (14 psi) within 15 to 25 ms and returns to zero within 100 to 200 ms. The machine measures the pressure of both volumes as a function of time. From this data, the average dynamic permeability of the test fabric during contraction is automatically calculated as an index on the permeability curve. All test results are digitally displayed on the device.

The inline measuring device Combiscan from Swiss Textest AG is a measuring machine that can continuously measure the air permeability (or pressure loss value), thickness, and basis weight (weight) of textiles, non-wovens, felts, films, canvas, forming fabrics, etc., while in motion. This device is designed to be installed on existing production lines. The measurement principle used is the same as that of the widely used FX3386 inline air permeability testing machine profiler. This device supports two types of frames depending on the measurement method.
