"Habuki" is a new water treatment device that utilizes the rotational biological contact method. It is compact and low-power while having high processing capacity, allowing for a reduction in water treatment costs compared to conventional OD methods. With "Habuki," we aim to optimize facility scale and eliminate running costs, contributing to solving our customers' challenges. With this intention, we released "Habuki" in 2024.

**Device Overview** The core of the AT-BC system, the AT-BC device, was developed from an improved rotating body of the rotating disk method, which is a type of activated sludge. The rotating body, which serves as the heart of the rotating disk, had a structural flaw where the metal parts would corrode rapidly when immersed in wastewater for extended periods. Additionally, it also had the drawback of microorganisms adhering to the rotating body detaching all at once, leading to a decrease in processing capacity. To address these shortcomings of the rotating body, the AT-BC device was developed. The rotating body of the AT-BC device features a three-dimensional mesh structure made from a vinylidene chloride fiber, the same material used in Asahi Kasei's Saran Wrap, processed into a gourd shape. This design successfully eliminated the metal parts that cause corrosion from the rotating body. Furthermore, by allowing microorganisms to adhere within the three-dimensional mesh structure, it has become possible to prevent the simultaneous detachment of microorganisms.

**Overview of Bacteria** Bacillus is a type of soil bacterium that thrives in high-quality soil and is also found in products such as oolong tea, natto, miso, and pickles. By introducing this bacterium into an aeration tank just once and allowing it to proliferate, it effectively decomposes odor components and removes not only BOD but also COD, N-Hex, nitrogen, phosphorus, and more. Additionally, due to its adsorption effect, it improves the sedimentation of sludge. In the aeration tank, it coexists with conventional activated sludge bacteria, and by increasing its ratio to about 1-10% (100:1 to 10:1), it exhibits remarkable functions and effects.

Overview of Oil and Fat Decomposing Bacteria By continuously adding Humax to the grease traps and adjustment tanks of existing wastewater treatment facilities, high concentrations of oil and fat can be decomposed, significantly reducing the load on subsequent biological treatment. If you are using pressurized flotation devices, the running costs of chemicals and the disposal costs of sludge will be greatly reduced (pressurized flotation will no longer be necessary). When adding to the grease trap, air agitation is required.
