If CAD data is not properly managed, it can take a long time to search for the desired CAD data. Even if the search time for each instance is short, when many people search multiple times, the total wasted time becomes enormous. Why is it not properly managed? The reasons are, as expected, either that management rules have not been established, there are problems with the management rules, or the management rules are not being followed. If there are no problems with the management rules but they are not being followed, we can only ask for compliance. If that is not the case, there may be issues with the management rules, including the possibility that they have not been established. One obstacle to establishing management rules is the resistance to changing the way work has been done until now. Everyone tends to be reluctant to change familiar methods. However, if the current way of working is an obstacle to properly managing CAD data, shouldn't we change the way we work? So, how should we change our work methods? The suggestion is to align the work methods with CAD data management software.
