Welding fumes are now regulated as specific chemical substances! Have you taken measures?

[Essential for workplaces conducting welding operations] Engineering measures are necessary for welding operations! (Published: April 2020, Enforced: April 2021)

Welding fumes will be regulated as specified chemical substances.

To all workplaces conducting welding operations! Engineering measures are necessary for welding work!

Starting from April 2021, welding fumes will be regulated as specified chemical substances. Indoor workplaces where metal arc welding and similar operations are conducted must implement ventilation through a general ventilation system or take equivalent or greater measures. Additionally, indoor workplaces that continuously perform metal arc welding and similar operations are required to measure the concentration of welding fumes in the air through personal sampling. As engineering measures for welding operations, there are "push-pull ventilation systems" and "local exhaust systems" that prevent diffusion to the surroundings while maintaining safety and workability. Our company is a work environment measurement organization, so we can measure and evaluate concentrations, and we provide one-stop support for preparation of construction and notification documents as well as work environment evaluations. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
