Achilles will be exhibiting at SEMICON Japan 2024. SEMICON Japan is an international exhibition for electronics manufacturing that covers manufacturing technologies, equipment, and materials in the semiconductor industry, as well as SMART applications such as vehicles and IoT devices. Following our participation last year, the Film Sales Department of the Chemical Products Division will showcase the following products: - PVC films that comply with overseas flame retardant standards such as UL94 V-0 and NFPA701 - PO films for tape substrates with anti-static properties and heat shrink functionality Additionally, our Industrial Materials Division, Urethane Division, Research and Development Headquarters, and Sanshin Kogyo Co., Ltd. will also exhibit products. Achilles Corporation will launch its transparent soft PVC film, "Punching Flexible Film," specialized for the cold retention applications of commercial refrigerated showcases, and the "Showcase Cold Retention Film," which is processed for immediate use in stores, nationwide starting in late June 2023. The "Punching Flexible Film" is a transparent soft PVC film specifically designed for cold retention sheets in commercial refrigerated showcases. It is based on a highly transparent film used for tents and boat windows, ensuring visibility of products inside the refrigerated showcase. It has an appropriate thickness and hardness to pursue cold retention and lightweight properties. It can be cut along guide lanes in a curtain-like manner, considering ease of product retrieval. Additionally, it features perforations for condensation prevention. This new product balances cold retention effectiveness, ease of installation and management, and product visibility. The "Showcase Cold Retention Film" is a product made from the same transparent soft PVC film as the "Punching Flexible Film," which has been pre-cut to a convenient size with perforations and comes with double-sided tape for immediate installation in refrigerated showcases. It can be purchased individually, allowing small stores to order according to their required quantities.

Achilles Corporation will launch the "Achilles Salaria File," which imparts copy resistance to powder-free slip-resistant transparent PVC film, nationwide from late January 2023. The transparent soft PVC film tends to adhere easily when layers overlap, which can compromise convenience during processing and use. As a countermeasure, a powdering treatment is applied to the film's surface; however, this can lead to issues such as deterioration of the product's appearance due to the powder and decreased workability from wiping. As a solution, our company released "Achilles Salaria" in December 2021. "Achilles Salaria" is a transparent soft PVC film with high slip resistance that does not require powdering treatment, thanks to our film-making and formulation technology. The newly released "Achilles Salaria File" retains the features of "Achilles Salaria" while achieving copy resistance through our formulation technology. It is suitable for use in cases and covers for books and notebooks that frequently hold business cards, cards, and documents. By facilitating smooth insertion and removal of cards and documents and reducing ink transfer from inserted cards and documents, it enhances convenience for end users.
