As a smart step to provide smart access solutions, Dorma, headquartered in Germany, and Kaba, headquartered in Switzerland, officially merged in September 2015, transforming into dormakaba. Additionally, following the merger, the Japanese subsidiary, Kabushiki Kaisha Kaba, changed its name to Dormakaba Japan Ltd. in November 2016.
