Chlorine dioxide is a powerful disinfectant (oxidizing agent) with strong oxidizing properties, similar to chlorine and ozone. It was evaluated as an alternative chlorine in the 'ACT21' project undertaken by the Water Technology Center from 1997 to 2001, and was approved as an oxidizing agent under the April 2009 ordinance that establishes technical standards for water supply facilities, classified as "chemicals injected into water in the purification or purification process." Velozon is a generation device that allows for the safe use of chlorine dioxide, which is widely used in European countries, including Germany, and in the United States.
