The ultra-high-speed reamer "Hyper Reamer," developed by Asahi Tool Manufacturing Co., Ltd., is a high-speed, high-efficiency reamer capable of machining at speeds of 80 to 120 m/min. It is re-coatable and can be used for a long time even after regrinding. The diameter change after regrinding is within 1 μm, and it employs a special thin-film coating for reamers, resulting in minimal diameter change and stable tool usage. It features a reusable shank, allowing for significant cost reduction by only replacing the head. After reaching the regrinding limit, replacing only the head achieves reduced running costs. This also contributes to efforts towards SDGs. It is available in OH through-hole type and branch hole type, accommodating both through holes and blind holes.
